The next day, Saturday, was the party to end all parties. We were blessed to have family and friends from all over SoCal join us for an open house to celebrate birthdays and our housewarming. It was really heartwarming to have so many friends make the trek to our new home!

My camera (Nikon D80) is broken. I had a MAJOR meltdown about this afternoon, until my sister came over with her [identical] camera and we figured out the problem is with the lens, not the camera body, and that I should, fingers crossed, still be able to replace it under my extended warranty. [...]
