This morning I had some work to do in the UCLA library, so I dragged my German, my kids, and my mom to the campus with me. While I tried to navigate the stacks for the umpteenth time, they basked outside in the blazing California sunshine. (It has been unbearably hot here.)

We have had a busy couple of days with friends and family.
First, on Tuesday we met up with Todd’s grandmother, Margaret, and Uncle Jon for lunch. With Jon’s help, Margaret (aka “Great Tutu” to my girls) just aquired a black Prius on e-bay and will be taking it back to her home in Colorado!
